TESS (Pvt) Ltd a company that has pioneered the canning industry and focused on innovative technologies and safety equipment donated a shell of a Cessna 152 aircraft to the Sri Lankan Navy for the Sea Museum which is underway at the bottom of the Nilwella Sea Fishing harbour.

The Canned Fish Manufacturers Association of Sri Lanka thanked the government for assisting local producers and industries during the Covid lockdown period. 

Tropic Engineering Supplies and Services known as TESS (Pvt) Ltd presented an underwater drone to Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva 20th February 2020.

Accordingly, the Chief Executive Officer of TESS, Mr. Shiran Fernando presented this underwater drone to the Navy Commander at the Naval Headquarters. This remotely controlled modern gadgetry allows shooting of clear underwater content and creative underwater photography at a depth of 100m.

This brand-new underwater drone will henceforth be utilized to inspect ongoing coral replantation projects carried out under the Green and Blue initiative mooted by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. Further, it will also be immensely vital when undertaking diving expeditions as well as underwater inspections executed as part of Navy’s effort for the conservation of maritime ecosystem.
